The Music of Razors. This dark, lovely first novel from Cameron Rogers is a triumph of language and imagination. Blurbed by Neil Gaiman, KJ Bishop and Storm Constantine.
The Walking Dead, vols 1 & 2. Captivating, well-characterized zombie/survival comic full of delicious plot twists. I read volume 1 on the plane ride home from Book Expo. The gentlemen next to me tried very hard not to read the book over my shoulder but failed.
Daywatch. I had been looking forward to this sequel since seeing Nightwatch in the theaters a year or two ago. Daywatch did not disappoint, cranking up the weirdness, Russian culture, special-effects driven action and character/character relationships. Directed by Timur Bekmambetov, based on the novel(s) by Sergei Lukyanenko.
