In a previous post, I mentioned that I joined an online writing workshop. I've spent the last couple of weeks there, offering constructive criticism, posting chapters and making revisions.
It's a worthwhile process, and I'm certain Black Poplar will be a stronger book because of it.
Unfortunately, it's slow going. I approximate that I get back one constructive review for every ten reviews I give. I'm through chapter three now and will very likely post chapter four and five this week.
UPDATED 08/17/07: OWW membership is free for the first month. Membership will run you $49 for a year or $30 for six months. My free trial period ends on 09/05/07. I've gotten so much practical, useful feedback out of it that I'm definitely signing up.
