Today at work I was entirely inspired.
One of the big five publishers was in our offices today presenting their Fall 2007 title list to our staff for review and discussion. The presenters were excellent and did their job - selling books. We saw everything from 8X8's to movie tie ins (including Spiderwick and the Dark Is Rising!).
It's a wonderful time in our department - to see the earliest visions of the finished book, to have some say in the form that it will take, to talk packaging and pricing and marketing.
I left the meeting energized and dying to get home and back to work on my own project (and this blog).
