I am SO excited about the film adaptation of The Golden Compass. I love the cast, I love the early trailers and photography and the novel is one of my top five of all time.
The folks from New Line studios have developed an amazing website early on for promotion of the film. The newest feature is "meet your daemon."
From what I understand, they are downplaying the Church/"Demon" angle in the film. I do hope it's a moderate change though. The themes and the way that Pullman plays them out are powerful and compelling.
My Daemon is a Tiger named "Anwyn".
