Second revision and next steps.

This evening I completed the second revision of Black Poplar. For your reference, that's 364 typewritten pages and 80,743 words (the pundits suggest using the Courier font).

Next steps on my "to do" list:

• Rewrite the opening paragraphs.
• Clear up the many inconsistencies I noticed in the second revision.
• Decide on whether or not I am going to include an epilogue (I have an idea I like. Just not sure if the story needs it).
• Solicit feedback from friends.
• Make corresponding changes.
• Develop a synopsis.
• Mail query to agent.

I'm still working well ahead of schedule and hope to have everything on the list checked off by mid-August.
